How to accept payments on your website

To become a fully e-commerce enabled merchant and start taking payments from your customers you need take the following three steps:

1. Set up your website and a shopping cart to allow your customers to select the products or services they wish to buy.

2. Obtain an Internet merchant account with an acquiring bank so that they can process your payments.

3. Arrange for a payment gateway such as Protx to process the payments. This provides the secure link between your site and the bank to ensure that your customers' card details are kept secure.
